About
PlanetCon is a twice a year event which is held in Washington County, Oregon. It is put on by the Westside Planet Alliance (formerly called the Westside Master Recyclers). Master Recyclers are volunteers that are trained on recycling and ways to live more sustainably. The PlanetCon event was first held in January 2018 and was held each year in January and June until Covid, but restarted in June 2022. Each event allows local residents to recycle hard to recycle items such as electronics and some plastics which are not recyclable at home. The event also teaches reuse by often including a swap, repair fair, and education on sustainable topics.
